Sunset Storytelling and Stargazing
on Waitt's Mount, Malden, MA
April 2016 and April 2017.
Read about it here!
"Inspired by this year’s book selection, The Martian by Andy Weir,
this event is a community celebration of both art and science,
a chance to enjoy a “hidden gem” of a park in Malden,
and a communal way to experience the awe of our place in the universe."
(The 2018 event was postponed because of rain. Stay tuned for new date!)

The
Moodance Festival Windsor, VT
October 5th, 2013
Moondance is
a "Street Festival held in downtown Windsor, Vermont celebrating
the known and unknown, merging science and education with art
and street performances.
It is the Mission of Moondance
to elevate the energy, educational and artistic levels, and possibilities of
our region, to build a happier, healthier, more engaged and connected
community, and to Inspire and Delight."
Sharon
will be doing two performances about the Fairy Folk, for adults
and children.
Visit facebook.com/moondancevermont for
more!
Sharon
performed on the Children's Stage and on the Heritage Stage.
FROM THE
FESTIVAL BROCHURE: "There
is a hunger for stories. For children, stories take them
into another world. For adults, stories bring back memories,
and give people the opportunity to reflect on and feel
things their lives haven't allowed them to focus on." Sharon
Kennedy performs stories from around the world, but is
best known for those drawn from the Irish oral tradition:
tales of the "little people" and the fairy
world, of shapeshifting seals known as "selchies" who
can assume human form, of giants and wizards, and of
magical encounters between ordinary people and extraordinary
worlds. |
